In late winter I put the chickens in my garden for a few hours over several days. They have a great time digging for bugs and worms. In return I have less bugs in my garden so far this year.
I still have the Japanese Beetle and the squash vine borer to battle but have high hopes that the chickens ate all the larvae for me. Only time will tell.
